Money Matters

Thursday, September 10, 2026 · 12PM-2PM · Virtual

Many nonprofit leaders carry complicated feelings about money, and those feelings shape how they manage it. This session starts there, with an honest look at financial mindset, before moving into the practical mechanics of nonprofit financial management.

Through interactive discussion and hands-on scenarios, participants explore the difference between scarcity and abundance thinking, learn to read and use core financial documents, and build skills in budgeting, reforecasting, and internal and external communication. The session's group exercise puts participants inside a real organizational challenge, working through decisions about revenue gaps, staffing, and program sustainability with their peers.
