Since our founding in 2001, Morten Group has worked through a lens of social justice, with an emphasis on racial equity. Our READI practice offers a culturally-informed, participatory approach to building cultures of equity — partnering with nonprofits, foundations, for-profits, and government entities across the country through a three-step process.

Step 1

Assess

We begin with an asset-based, participatory assessment — surveys, interviews, and focus groups with staff, board, and community — resulting in a summary report with key findings and recommendations.

Step 2

Learn

Knowledge-building opportunities are designed around themes from the assessment. Sessions are always interactive — scenario role plays, personal reflections, and participatory explorations of key concepts.

Step 3

Act

We work with your team to build what comes next — coaching for leadership, listening sessions, affinity groups, and action planning to ensure continued growth in equity, access, diversity, and inclusion.
