Morten Group was founded in 2001 by Mary F. Morten, who brought more than 20 years of experience in advocacy, philanthropy, and policy. She saw how often powerful missions were undermined by internal systems that didn't reflect an organization's public values and built Morten Group to shift that dynamic.
Since then, we've partnered with more than 250 organizations, corporations, foundations, and small businesses nationwide, supporting leadership transitions, mission alignment, and everything in between.
We're a multiracial, cross-sector, cross-generational team of consultants, facilitators, researchers, and coaches united by curiosity, integrity, and care. We've learned that the only way our work can be successful is if we're moving at what Stephen Covey called the speed of trust.
That's where we begin.
