Interim executive leadership is one of the most demanding assignments in the nonprofit sector. This two-day training is designed for leaders with at least three years of ED/CEO experience who are ready to serve as Intentional Interim Executive Directors or CEOs.

Participants leave with a practical framework for the full arc of an interim engagement: from the 30/60/90-day assessment process and listening tours to board presentations, organizational stabilization, and onboarding the incoming leader. The training also addresses how to position and market yourself as an interim and how to navigate special circumstances — founders, unengaged boards, and managing values in temporary roles.

Facilitated by consultants from Morten Group and Alicia T. Vega Consulting who have led interim engagements across the sector, this training is rooted in theory and based on real experience.
