Morten Group, LLC has developed a civil discourse training based on the firm’s own diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) work while also incorporating (1) best strategies to build resilience, and (2) guidance on how to safely and bravely engage others when faced with a potentially escalating situation.

Please join us as we provide the community with education, tools and other practical resources to effectively address how to move forward in light of national and local declines of means of communicating in respectful ways. Being and feeling safe is key when communicating perspectives and is a basic right that all should have.

These two FREE day long workshops (one for youth 14-18 and one for adults over 18) will provide participants with opportunities to examine their own understanding of and experience with civil discourse, the impact of their identities on their experience with discourse, skills to improve communication and engage in difficult conversations, and processes for seeking help and healing from volatility. The workshops offer a balance of participant driven sharing and explorations, information provision and skill instruction, and opportunities to reflect on and practice skills.

Please share with your networks and register by Friday, August 23!
